Director of Finance Summary:  Oversees company financial activities including reporting and financial analysis, budget development and internal and external activities of record keeping and reporting.
  • Manage with the intent to motivate, train and develop.Manage administrative responsibilities (scheduling, timekeeping, budgeting) . Provide timely, constructive feedback regarding work and performance.Manage non-performing employees in accordance with company policy.Manage high potential employees to career succession and growth opportunities.
  • Summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expense and earnings based on ppast, present and expected operations.
  • Oversee Project setups and maintenance, Billing, Purchasing,  General Ledger, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
  • Develop internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for activities such as budget administration, cash and customer credit management, and accounting.
  • Direct activities of tax planning and compliance with all federal, state, and local corporate, and other applicable taxes.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with banking and non-organizational accounting personnel in order to facilitate financial activities.
Preferred Education / Experience:
  • Bachelors in related discipline
  • 7+ years in related discipline
  • Previous experience in management position or;
  • A combination of education and experience equivalent to above
Preferred Knowledge / Ability: 
  • Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Principles of cost/benefit analysis
  • Laws and regulations that apply to government accounting practices and standards
  • Analyze and evaluate administrative and abstract accounting concepts and procedures
  • Microsoft Office
