Director, FBO Operations

​Calspan Air Services is a 24/7 full service FBO located at the Niagara Falls International Airport in Niagara Falls, NY. We are looking for a full time detail oriented individuals to join our team! This individual will deliver outstanding service and support to internal and external customers, ensure financial performance meets organizational goals, exceeds metric performance standards, and adhere to all safety standards and regulations.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage with the intent to motivate, train and develop.  Manage administrative responsibilities (scheduling, timekeeping, and budgeting). Provide timely, constructive feedback regarding work and performance.  Manage non-performing employees in accordance with company policy.  Manage high potential employees to career succession and growth opportunities.
  • Oversee financial management of the FBO including gross margins, capital expenditures, budgeting, forecasting and expense management
  • Maintain regular interaction with customers to promote the FBO and to measure the level of customer satisfaction while using customer feedback to continually develop and improve upon capabilities and processes
  • Oversee all aspects of the FBO including: line operations, fuel sales, hangar sales, airline ground handling, new business development, customer retention, quality control, and environmental and safety compliance.
  • Conduct ongoing competitive analysis to include pricing, selling points and product offerings. 
Preferred Education / Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in aviation management or related discipline,
  • 7+ years experience in FBO operations,
  • Previous experience in management position or;
  • A combination of education and experience equivalent to above
Preferred Knowledge / Ability:
  • Excellent oral, written, interpersonal and communication skills to respond to inquiries/complaints from employees, customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community.
  • Must be able to effectively present information to top management, subordinates, public groups, and/or boards via telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.
  • Skills in developing and maintaining customer relationships
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task and prioritize
  • Strong Leadership and decision making skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point and web-based applications.
