Business Analyst – Purchasing:  Oversees purchasing of materials, equipment, supplies and services necessary to support the company strategic plan.
  • Facilitate placement of purchase orders in accordance with established policy.  Develop strategies to assure continuous supply and timely procurement of materials.  Monitor timely placement of orders to meet production requirements. 
  • Partner with business units to ensure receipt of appropriate specification documentation enabling the sourcing in accordance with established policy.  Perform duties in a manner that provides high quality customer service to business units.  Study new products and researches departments' requests for all products and commodities.
  • Initiates cost reductions through efficient and economic supplier base, negotiation, standardization of materials, and value analysis.    
  • Provide financial support for financial reporting and analysis.  Maintain process and procedure documentation for purchasing.  Make recommendations for process improvement. 
Preferred Education / Experience:
  • Bachelors in related discipline
  • 3+ years in related discipline or;
  • A combination of education and experience equivalent to above
 
Preferred Knowledge / Ability: 
  • Generally accepted business principles
  • Willingness to travel between Buffalo and Niagara Falls offices
  • Internet research and standards
  • Data collection techniques
  • Microsoft Office
